Funeral For Children

(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Mar. 12. Morrinsville this morning mourned the deaths of five Kereone schoolchildren, victims of the school bus crash on Tuesday. St. Matthew’s Anglican Church was packed for a funeral service, as was St Joseph’s Catholic Church, where a Requiem Mass was held. At St. Matthew’s many people stood outside and listened to the service from loudspeakers for three of the children—Gayle Price, aged seven, Yvonne Margaret Wilson, aged seven, and Karyn Lee Anne Tocker, aged five. Requiem Mass was said for Barbara Hunter, aged 10, and Susan Patricia Goldfinch, aged nine.

The Catholic children were buried beside each other in one part of toe Morrinsville Lawn Cemetery and toe Anglican children were buried similarly in another part of the cemetery.
