AREA WINNER IN CONTEST
Miss K. Gibson Of Timaru
Miss Kathrine Gibson, of Timaru, is the Canterbury area winner of the New Zealand Wool Board's fashion script-writing contest for members of the Country Girls’ Club organisation. She will compete in the Dominion finals in Hamilton next week. The prize is a visit to Australia as the guest of Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd. Competitors were asked to write a 10-minute script for a fashion parade featuring wool travel garments for a trip to Australia. Miss Gibson’s success was announced at the New Zealand Wool Board’s fashion parade in Christchurch on Friday evening.
