U.S. Boeing Due Today

The ninth Boeing military transport aircraft this year to be used for carrying men of the United States Navy Antarctic support force from Christchurch home to the United States is due at Harewood today. It is scheduled to leave at 10 a.m. tomorrow with 74 passengers. So far the eight Boeings have taken home almost 600 servicemen and scientists from the Antarctic and from Christchurch. Three more Boeing flights due on March 19, 20 and 25 will take the last of the Navy servicemen. Rear-Admiral J. R. Reedy, commander of the support force, and key staff are due to leave Christchurch for the United States on April 2 or 3.
