CAMPING IN ALASKA

Book By Lady Hillary "The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, Mar. 13 Lady Hillary, wife of Sir Edmund Hillary, has had a book accepted for publication in New York and London; it will be launched in June. To be called “Keep Calm If You Can,” the book tells of a camping trip in Alaska, with the Hillarys’ three children, Peter, Sarah, and Belinda, and the journey home with the children, through London, Rome, New Delhi, Darjeeling, and Katmandu. Lady Hillary, who kept a comprehensive diary of the trip, with its experiences of camping out in the wild and open country of Alaska where in midsummer the daylight extended far into each night, composed her narrative direct from the diary’s pages into a tape recorder. > The book is illustrated with sketches made from slides taken on the trip and supplied to the publisher.
