(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, March 13. The American novel, “The Group,” was withdrawn from the library at the Victorian Parliament House today. T t had been available there for the last six weeks. The book is not banned in any other Australian State. A Victorian Government official said that anyone owning a copy of “The Group” would risk prosecution if he sold or lent it. He said an individual might own a copy but he must not sell or lend it. A first offence carries a penalty of up to a £5O fine or 12 months’ imprisonment.
