Radiation Belt Discovered

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) WASHINGTON, March 12. America’s “Imp” satellite has discovered a new radiation area far beyond the Van Allen radiation belts. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said it did not appear to be a serious hazard to space flight.

Bomb Protest.— About 20 persons yesterday protested against the proposed French nuclear tests in the Pacific in a demonstration outside the French Consulate in Sydney. The demonstrators were from the Union of Australian Women, trade unions and the New South Wales Peace Committee for International Cooperation and Disarmament. —Sydney, March 13.
