WYNDHAM Douglas For First Leg

"The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL, March 12. Douglas in the Wyndham Handicap and the AttorneyKildare Dan bracket in the Bdendale Handicap will be a strongly fancied double combination on the second day of the Wyndham Trotting Club’s autumn meeting on Saturday. The club will present one of the most varied programmes of the Southland circuit this season. The New Zealand Kindergarten Stakes, for two-year-olds, is the feature event on the card. It will highlight a clash between two top colts, Viking Water and Jurist, which may be two of New Zealand’s outstanding youngsters this season. Each is unbeaten at his only appearance.

The three-year-olds will have a second clash in the Wyndham Juvenile Stakes, in which last week’s winner, Danny’s Pal, should again succeed. There was rain during the week but it has improved the track, which will be firm.
