Record Profit For B. Harris
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 12. Bing, Harris and Company, Ltd., Dunedin warehousemen, made a record aftertax profit of £113,733 in the year to December 19, according to a preliminary statement, but the result is subject to final audit. Final dividend of 3% per cent makes an unchanged 74 per cent for the year; payable April 29, ex dividend April 4. This latest profit' is nearly 40 per cent higher than the £81,641 tax-paid profit of the year before.
Whitcombe's Interim.—Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., Christ-church-based publishers, printers, booksellers and stationers, have declared a steady 3 per cent interim ordinary dividend; payable April 24, ,ex dividend April 10. Last year total dividend was 11 per cent.
