W. R. Carpenter Holds Levels
(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) MELBOURNE. March 12. W. R. Carpenter Holdings, Ltd., maintained trading in the half-year to March 31. directors reported. They disclosed that the balance date for the holding company will be changed from September 30 to June 30 beginning this year. Profits of subsidiary companies were adequate to maintain their usual dividends to the holding company, they said. Commodity and produce prices and production had been maintained at good profitable levels. This had contributed an increase in merchandise turn-over for the first half of the financial year.
