Adjournment Of Inquest
(N .Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) DOVER, March 11. The Dover coroner, Mr J. A. Johnson yesterday adjoured for 13 days the inquest on Dermis Charles Bassett, the stock car driver whose body was washed up near Ostend nine days after the yacht Christine disappeared. Kent police said the decision resulted from discussions with the Directors of Public Prosecutions. Bassett was aboard the Christine when it left Ramsgate.
Mr Edward Anderson, the yacht’s owner, said in a television interview that he decided not to sail in the Christine after about £1,000,000 from the Aylesbury train robbery was taken on board.
