KING PAUL’S FUNERAL
Many Royal Mourners (N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) ATHENS, March 12. Four kings and two queens were among dignitaries who attended the funeral of King Paul of the Hellenes today. The mourners also included three former kings, two crown princes, three pretenders, 40 princes and dukes, many heads of state —and one million Greeks lining the pavements of the capital. The Duke of Edinburgh represented the Queen. He was accompanied by Princess Marina, the Dowager Duchess of Kent. Both were first cousins of King Paul. Archbishop Chrysostomos, Primate of Greece, said Requiem Mass in Athens Cathedral assisted by the metropolitans of the Holy Synod in their Byzantine silk embroidered robes and jewelstudded tiaras. After the two miles and a half funeral procession, King Paul was to be buried at the Royal estate of Tatoi, 16 miles north of Athens, where he died.
