Reserves Survey
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 17. The National Parks Authority had been asked to assume general supervision of some scenic reserves, the act had been altered to allow the Government to delegate its responsibility for them, but nothing further was being done pending a survey of the reserves, the authority chairman, Mr R. J. MaclachLan, said at Te Anau at the week-end. “There is a thought,” said Mr Maclachlan, "that in some cases a park board may be the best supervising agent. An example of that is the white heron reserve in Westland Park.”
