ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS
First National Talks Held (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N., Feb. 17. Two hundred men, women and teen-agers from throughout New Zealand attended the first national conference of Alcoholics Anonymous at Massey College at the weekend. Every delegate has been, or has been associated with, a problem drinker. The first national conferences of the two affiliated groups were held simultaneously. These groups are AlAnon, which was specifically formed for the wives or husbands of alcoholics, and Al-a. Teen, which helps the teenage children of alcoholics. Among delegates were visitors from California, Australia and South Africa.
