Factory To Transfer
Rheem New Zealand, Ltd., with premises in Main South road, is expected to transfer its entire Christchurch factory to the North Island, within 12 months. The firm manufactures steel products. The company already has its head office in Wellington, and plans to open a new branch in Auckland. The main reason for leaving Christchurch is to be nearer the biggest centre of population. The company's site in the Paparua County Council areas has been bought by Lime and Marble, Ltd., of Nelson, manufacturers of lime, marble and mineral products.
