ADMIRER OF CHURCHILL
(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter —Copyright) NEW YORK, Feb. 16. During a surprise visit on Wednesday night to a book shop frequented by students of Havana University, Dr. Fidel Castro mentioned that he was reading the memoirs of Sir Winston Churchill, and called him “a tremendous man.” One listener disagreed: “But he was a colonialist.” Dr. Castro replied: “Look, if Churchill had not done what he did to defeat the Nazis you wouldn’t be here. None of us would be here. “What is more, we have to take a special interest in him because he, too, led a little island against a great enemy.”
