Addington's Gains
The Addington Rugby League Club’s bid to gain senior status in the coming season will be strengthened by the transfer of three Linwood senior playens, J. H. Fisher P. M. White, and J. L. White. Fisher toured Australia last year and, with P. M. White, is a South Island representative. White has also played for New Zealand Police and New Zealand Maoris, and was the top scorer in club football last season. J. L. White has represented Canterbury
The transfers will strengthen a young Addington team which had six Canterbury senior reserve representatives last season. Conversely, Linwood’s chances of retaining the senior championship will be greatly decreased, especially in the absence of the White brothers’ goal-kicking.
