Quick Trip
With the new road tunnel almost completed, an engineer travelled from the middle of Lyttelton to Cathedral square in 17 minutes yesterday. A speed of about 15 miles an hour was maintained through the tunnel, and in Ferry road and High street the car encountered heavy Friday afternoon traffic.
