Offered on account of the estate of M. E. Wootton, a house at 82 Roker street, Spreydon, was sold for £3350 at public auction yesterdayThe auctioneer was Mr D. Chapman. The opening bid was £2809. There were four bids of £lOO, and three of £5O.
A wooden bungalow with an iron roof, the house has a lounge, hall, diningroom, two bedrooms, sunroom, bathroom, and laundry. Outbuildings include a garage and a workshop. A house at 359 Manchester street was sold for £2700. The property was offered on account of the estate of Mary Ann Ahearn by Mr N. H. McCrostie. The initial bid was £2OOO. There were six bids of £lOO, and two of £5O. The house has two livingrooms, three bedrooms, kitchenette, and bathroom. There is also a garage on the section of 24 perches. Dr. A. D. L. Hunter’s eight-year-old brick house at 195 Hackthorne road, Cashmere, was passed in at £5600- The auctioneer was Mr C. M. Robertson, The house has three bedrooms, kitchen, diningroom, lounge, sun terraces, and basement garage. A house of two self-con-tained flats at 10 Kirkwood avenue, Riccarton, was passed in at £3BOO. The auctioneer was Mr C. M. Robertson. The main flat has a lounge, two bedrooms, and a kitchenette-livingroom. The smaller flat has a livingroom, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.
A house at 164 Brougham street, Sydenham, has been sold by private treaty by N. H. McCrostie and Company. The property was passed in at £lBOO when offered at auction on Monday.
