PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS

Architect To Make Report (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 13. Sir Basil Spence, architect of the new Coventry Cathedral and of the restored Church of ' the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, will arrive in Wellington on March 14 to advise the Government on the completion o' the 50-year-old Parliament Buildings. On him will largely rest the decision of whether to continue the construction of the buildings in their present Georgian style or whether to switch to a completely contemporary design. While in Wellington Sir Basil Spence, a past president of the Royal Institute of British Architects, will give the chancellor’s lectures on architecture at Victoria University.
