Stray Cats Spread Disease
(N.Z. Press' Association) AUCKLAND, February 13. Dozens of stray cats, left behind when mill workers moved to other towns, are spreading feline enteritis in Kawerau. An S.P.C-A. inspector, Mr A. Doughty, said today: “There are stray cats all over town, but we haven’t the facilities to handle them. “We are asking people to have ■ their cats inoculated, but no-one is going to inoculate a stray cat.”
