HOUSEWIVES CONCERNED
Mixed Use Of New Hospital
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 12. If the Auckland Hbspital Board was fully conscious of its responsibilities it would not permit the new National Women’s Hospital to function as a mixed one, says a statement issued by the executive of the Auckland City HouseWives’ Association after a special meeting today. The association had earlier asked the Minister of Health (Mr McKay) to seek the “immediate removal of medical and surgical gynaecological cases from the obstetric ward block because of the risk of infection.” The association. has decided to write again to the Minister as it felt his explanation was “unacceptable.” The executive will repeat its previous request for the removal of the medical and surgical gynaecological cases from the obstetric block.
