Goddard, scored his first first-class century of the tour today against Victoria with a magnificent 179 not out at st" imps. Goddard, E. J. Barlow and R. G. Pollock humbled Victoria’s bowling attack, scoring 358 for two. Barlow hit 85 and Pollock was 81 not out. Goddard and Barlow put on 169 runs for the first wicket, thedr highest partnership in Australia, and were untroubled by Victoria’s test opening bowlers, R. Gaunt and A. Connolly.
