Fine Play In Doubles
Spectators were treated to a high-class exhibition by Mesdames B. A. Jarden and M. Bleasdale in the final of the handicap doubles at the South Island croquet championships held in Christchurch yesterday. They made an almost faultless round to beat J. McNab and Mrs McNab, 26-2. Mesdames McNab and Bleasdale were both for hoop three when Mrs Bleasdale struck form, going to rover on her next turn. J. After making one back she peeled her partner through rover, continuing in faultless style to peg out with the score 26-2.
