Settling In At New Home
Settling in to her new home in Merivale lane, Christchurch. is Mrs W. R. Laws, Wife of the new Methodist Connexional Secretary of New Zealand. The Rev. and Mrs Laws arrived in the city on Wednesday with their family. They lived for the last five years in Morrinsville, and prior to that in Palmerston North.
As the daughter of a minister (the Rev. John Southern) and now a minister’s wife, she was well used to packing up and moving from place to place about the country, Mrs Laws said yesterday. Her two young children, aged eight and 10 years, were so far quite happy at the prospect of going to new schools, she said. Educated at the Otago Girls’ High School, before her marriage Mrs Laws trained as a Karitane Nurse in Invercargill, and later as a school dental nurse in Wellington.
