'Difficult Times Ahead’
(N.Z. Press Association)
INVERCARGILL, Dec. 16. "If things become troublesome in New Zealand, the next General Election will be fought, not by the National and Labour parties, but by Liberal and Social Credit,” Mr R. M. Hutton-Potts, leader of the Liberal Party at the last election, said in Invercargill tonight. He was addressing the first post-election meeting of the Liberal Party. New Zealand should be prepared for a dangerous future, he said.
The next 20 years would be difficult and the country would survive only if those difficult times were anticipated.
