Last Meeting Held

The North Canterbury Methodist Guild Fellowship held its final meeting in the Durham Street Church Hall recently. Under a scheme of reorganisation the women's guilds and the missionary union are to be merged into one organisation, the Methodist Women's Fellowship. The meeting took the form of a social gathering, presided over by the retiring president (Mrs H. G. Brown). Past presidents who attended included Mesdames J. Bowden. W. Megson, J. Richards, A. Pratt, G. Bielby and N. Dailey. Devotions were led by the first Dominion president. Mrs O. Burnet.

The following district officers were elected: president, Mrs M. Hayman; vice-presi-dents. Mesdames G. Armitage and H. G. Brown: secretary, Mrs J. Porter; treasurer, Mrs H. A. McNeill.
