EGG-LAYING TRIALS
Teams leading in egg production at the end of the tenth month of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s laying trial are:— Six-bird Section—Australorps, E. G. Wod (Leeston), 1485 eggs; White Leghorns, R. J. Thom (Christchurch), 1495; any other variety, D. J. Bullock (Oamaru), Rhode Island Reds, 1413. Twenty-bird Section.—Australorps. A. V. Christianson (Timaru), 4233 eggs; White Leghorns, Mrs A. V. Christianson (Timaru), 3898. Teams laying the highest total of eggs during the last 28 days were:— Six-bird Section. —F. Sonne (Amberley), Australorps, 152 eggs; 20-bird section: H. G. Sugden (Christchurch), White Leghorns, 439.
