CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Concert At Civic A special concert of Christmas musie, mainly the betterknown carols, will be given in the Civic Theatre today by the Christchurch Harmonic Society for aged persons and those in institutions. Several hundred persons are expected to attend from the Christchurch Hospital, homes tor the aged, Sunnyside, Templeton Farm, and from houses visited by the Aged People’s Welfare Council and the Red Cross. The concert will start at 2 p.m. and last about an hour. It has been a regular event for several years. The choir will be up to 200-strong, and will be conducted by Mr William Hawkey.
