Sinister Monster

When 17, and being fearful of receiving a white feather, and anxious to prove my “manhood,” I volunteered for active service, I was confident that God was on our side but subsequently, when a prisoner of war in Germany and I saw Lutheran ministers ctaiiming the same distinction, I began to wonder.

When laiter I experienced the notorious depression and saw abject poverty in this wonderful land of abundance, I began to doubt the professed wisdom and sometrimes the sanity of our rulers. I knew that there must be a “nigger in the wood pile” somewhere and I became determined to discover him. I think that I have long since discovered him and many times felt his teeth. ’

He proved to -be a giant more in the form of am octopus or perhaps I should say a “multipus.” whose evil influence now extends to all mankind, exerting pressures here and there, always with sinister intent and always seeking to extend its power and influence through the medium of the control of the people's means of exchange, their costless figure money. Sometimes it is by favours and sometimes by outright domination. On the surface, it is suave and the quintessence of rectitude but, underneath, it is cruel and relentless. Wars mean. nothing more to it than an extended market for debt and the extension of its power. Vincent Vickers, for nine years the Governor of the Bank of England, says in his ‘‘Economic Tribulation.” of bankers: “In an emergency, it is always the first into the lifeboat, the first to leave the sinking ship, and the last to man the pumps.” Sir Josiah Stamp, a director of the Bank of England, said that “Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin." "Evil Influence” Fluioridation pressures, the destruction of the beauty of Lake Manapouri. joining the I.M.F. and World Bank and the gradual control of New Zealand by outside capital investments. are but outside evidence of its evil influence. The continual rise of rates, taxes, debt, nuclear arms races and wars are the fruits of its act’Viitlfes. The only opposition this great power has is Social Credit. No wonder it is vilified, reviled and attacked in every way possible. If Social Credit were not founded on truth and fact, it would long a.go have become defunct, but truth cannot forever be suppressed. “People Not Fooled” Every reform in history has had to fight ignorance and prejudice and Social Credit is no exception. People are not forever fooled and, sooner or later, they will realise and in that realisation will come the greatest forward step man has ever made. If I am privileged to be elected. I have promised to move at the first opportunity, in the House, an immediate rise in pensions, to fight the fluoridation scheme, to try to save the beauty of Lake Manapouri from needless destruction and to work for the electors unfettered by any party dictates. This, in addition to the task of restoring to the people the use and ownership of thedr own financial credit without which there can be no future for our children, only perpetual slavery. To this end I am dedicated.
