PIGEONS MAY GO.—A young visitor feeds some of the multitude of pigeons in Trafalgar Square, London. The pigeons are so numerous that they are fouling and corroding the Lord Nelson column, the National Gallery, and other buildings round the square. The Ministry of Works is threatening to coat window sills and roofs with sticky chemicals to force the pigeons to move on elsewhere.
