There has been considerable conjecture in Britain Whether the Standard-Tri-umph organisation has intentions of producing a sixcylinder sports car, as the Spitfire is designated the Spitfire Four. No hint has come from the factory, but rumours were strengthened by the special six-cylinder Vitesse the factory recently entered in a big rally. The normal Vitesse Six engine is 1300 c.c. but the special’s engine was about 2 litres. Unfortunately the car crashed before it could show its paces.

DRIVER COURSE Another driver improvement course is to be held by the Christchurch City Council traffic department in the M.E.D. theatrette next Wednesday at 8 p.m. All motorists and their friends are invited to attend, and are asked to telephone the department beforehand , if possible, to say they intend to be present.
