Seed Protection
Unfavourable weather often causes loss of seeds in the ground through rotting. The following materials act as seed protectants and a prior dusting with one of them may save a resowing: captan, ferbam, thiram and chloronil dichlone, while D.D.T., lindane organis mefcury will limit depredation by insets and the latter will also give protection against birds.
