MOTHERS’ UNION
New President Elected (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 14. Mrs J. T. Holland, wife of the Bishop of Waikato, was today elected president of the Anglican Mothers’ Union of New Zealand. She has been a member of the union for 18 years, for nine of them as Waikato diocesan president. In 1959 she initiated and has since edited the union magazine “Home Circle.” A graduate of London University and a member of the Federation of University Women in New Zealand, Mrs Holland frequently addresses mothers’ groups on preparation for marriage, and is the author of “A Tale of Discovery,” a sex-education book for children.
