POPULAR QUARTET
N.Z. Soldiers In Malaysia Four New Zealand soldiers calling themselves the "Four Noons” have become popular singing at concert* and on the radio in Malaysia. The four, who are in the Ist Battalion, New Zealand Regiment, at Tarendak Camp. Malacca, got the name for their quartet from the leader. Corporal S F Noon, of Opononi. They got their chance to sing on Radio Malaysia after winning a talent quest in N.alaeca They chose ballads Maori and Malay songs for their radio programme They have sung in many charity concerts, on one occasion to raise funds for Malayans who lost their village in a fire , They will leave Malaya soon to return to New Zealand with their
