HOSPITALS’ BUYING
Bulk-Purchase Savings (N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 14. Bulk-buying contracts had saved the country’s hospital boards about £lO.OOO within their first six months’ operation the Hospital Officers’ Association was told today. The contracts cover crockery, textiles, surgical dressings and stationery. A discussion group dealing with stores control considered “ e bulk-buying scheme should be gradually extendea to include a wider range of hospital supplies. A! ' 37 hospital boards in New Zealand are represented among the 70 delegates attending the annual conference. Mr A. G. Wilson, secretary of the Northland Hospital Board, was elected president succeeding Mr A. F Wilton, secretary of the Wellington board.
