TRAPPED MINER
Amputation Of Arm (N Z Preis Ansn. —Copyright) BRISBANE. Nov. 14 A Queensland coalminer, Charles Kerslake. was brought to the surface of Dinmore colliery this morning after being trapped 30ft underground for 19 hours. His only injury- was a bruised left arm. where fallen timber had pinned him. His arm was amputated this afternoon. Kerslake’s wife was with him at the hospital tonight. Kerslake was in. good spirits when brought out of the mine. 'Tve been waiting for this for a long time,” he said, as he twisted on his stretcher to accept a cigarette.
