MISSING MAN
Aust. Police Help Sought (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. The Australian police have been asked to take part in a search for 76-year-old Mr Ernest Geddes, brother of an 82-year-old Waiuku pensioner, Mr Arthur G. Geddes. Several months ago, totally blind Mr Arthur Geddes was promised the tenancy of a Waiuku pensioner flat on the understanding that his brother, believed to be living somewhere in Australia, would return to this country to live with him because of his disability. When Mr Geddes last heard from his brother he was living near Perth. But inquiries by the R.S.A. and the New Zealand War Pensions Office, have since proved fruitless. The Waiuku Borough Council has now relented and allowed Mr Geddes to occupy the double flat while the search for his brother continues. He has now asked the Waiuku police to begin another line of inquiry through their counterparts in Australia.
