KEG BEER SALES
Applications Refused (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 12. Nineteen applications by liquor wholesalers in the Wellington, Lower Hutt, and Petone areas for the right to sell kegged beer were refused by the Wellington Licensing Committee, in a decision delivered yesterday afternoon. The committee said because of a direction by the Licensing Control Commission it had to disregard the convenience and choice of the public. The committee comprised Mr M. B. Scully. S.M. (chairman), Mr S. J. H. Duff and Mr E. J. B. Matthews. The applications were opposed by the Wellington Hotel Association.
