House Found On Its Roof

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 11. A new three-roomed holiday house in Queen Charlotte Sound was found at the week-end tossed on to its roof without a pane of glass broken. This freak incident was among effects of Friday’s savage gale in the sound. Only two weeks old, the house, belonging to Mr N. P. Webber, of Wellington, was built on a level site at Ruakaka Bay, Now it is lying on its roof 20ft up a bank behind its original site. The gale squashed flat a corrugated iron tank at the back of the house.
