New South Wales beat Western Australia by nine wickets in a Sheffield shield cricket match at Sydney tod3 New South Wales required 262 to win, and scored the runs for the loss of only one wicket. The test batsman, B. Booth, made 169 not out, reaching his century in 94 minutes. N. C. O'Neill made a sharp 43 before being bowled by Western Australia’s new spinner, L. Gallash. Scores: Western Australia 420 and 266, New South Wales 425 for one declared and 262 for one.
