TUBERCULOSIS ASSOCIATION
Freezing Workers’ Gift The Canterbury and West Coast Tuberculosis Association, at its monthly meeting, acknowledged receipt of a donation of £129 Us 7d from the Canterbury. Marlborough and Nelson Freezing Workers’ Union. The gift was unsolicited. This union has been a very generous supporter of the association for many years and appreciation of its practical Interest in the work of the association was expressed at the meeting. The association’s funds are used to help sufferers from tuberculosis, many of whom are cared for in their own homes, and to supply extra comforts for the sick and for members of their families.
