Propaganda Campaign
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Nov. 10. The United States Information Agency is revamping its programme in Western Europe, aiming at a smaller, more select audience of editors, professors, students and other opinion makers. The move stems from a four-month survey of the agency’s Western European operations. As an example of the new plan, agency employees will spend less time “inventorying books about the United States and more time trying to persuade European publishers to translate and print such books.” Other possible projects would be lectures to students and establishments of chairs of American study in European universities.
