New Ship For Trials (N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 10. An 8000-ton passenger-cargo-livestock liner, the Centaur. built in Scotland for the Australian run. will probably begin trials next month. The Centaur has been designed to accommodate 200 passengers. 700 cattle and 4500 sheep as well as general cargo, the "Daily Telegraph" reported. She is expected to leave on her maiden voyage for the Blue Funnel Line to Sydney via Singapore and Brisbane in January. Labour Party Decision (,VZ. Press Assn—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Nov 11. The Australian Labour Party in Victoria has confirmed its decision to give its second preferences to the Democratic Labour Party in all seats in Victoria. The Victorian A.L.P. campaign director. Mr Cyril Wyndham, said today: “This has been entirely on our own volition. It’s not part of any deal or exchange Nor have we received any approaches.’’
