Canterbury East C.W.I.
Five hundred Christmas cards to be sold among institutions were received from U.N.I.C.E.F. at the November meeting of the executive committee of the CanterburyEast Federation of Country Women's Institutes. Mrs E. M. Riches presided. Founders Day (February 19) will be commemorated by a church service at Lincoln, it was decided. Arrangements for the council meeting to be held in April were discussed. The next meeting of the executive committee will be held at the home of Mrs D. Mcßae. An invitation by the city council to attend the reception for Rear-Admiral Reedy, at the Civic Theatre, was accepted by the committee. Donations were sent to the “Friends of the Blind,” and to Dominion headquarters.
