SOBERS MAY PLAY HERE
Two Festival Matches (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 11. The West Indies batsman, G. Sobers, may play in New Zealand late this season, according to a member of the Wellington Cricket Association, Mr L. J. Castle. No direct approach had yet been made to Sobers, who is again playing for South Australia this season, and who scored an unbeaten century against the South Africans on Saturday. “But it is possible that the New Zealand Cricket Council will stage two festival matches after the South Africans have been here,” said Mr Castle. The games would probably be at Wellington and Christctwirch.
