Further Loss On

Operations

Albert G. Sims, Ltd., Sydney metail merchant, incurred a consolidated net loss of £155,119 in the year to June 30. This follows a loss of £295,440 in tihe pevious year and a profit of £90,983 in 1960-61.

However. the company earned a profit of £67,046, before tax. in the second half of the year to June 30. The latest full year's loss is after tax. £ 10,027. The result includes £231.291 loss on shipping activities, of which £178.320 was incurred in the first half year.

Sc:ap metal operations resulted in a profit of £120.017, before tax, for the half year ended June 30. against a loss of £33.818 in the first half year. Directors say in a preliminary statement that all non-profitable operations have been disposed of since the close of the year.

Applications for £5OO. which would, as a result of he necessary scaling down, have received less than £5OO. will also be allotted that basic figure.

Applications for larger parcels will receive allotments on a pro rata basis, each series being dealt with separately.
