P. B. Truscott Not Out 80 (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. October 28. The former Canterbury Piunket Shield batsman P. B. Truscott established himself as a candidate for the Wellington team today when he scored an attractive, unbeaten 80 for Karori. He attacked Midland's bowler* from the start and pierced the field with seme lovely driving. The moat successful bowlers were two medium-pacers—R. H, Liddle (St. Patrick's Old Boys) and R. F. Broom (Wellington). Liddle took five for 31 against Wellington College Old Boys, and Broom took five for 44 against University. Teams which scored first innings leads today were University and W.C.0.8. Kilblmie and Karori are strongly placed in the other games.
