A big increase in the labour force of TODD MOTOR INDUSTRIES, LTD., WESTERN HUTT ROAD, PEITONE. WELLINGTON, is planned to take place within the next few weeks to cope with the demand for the exciting new CHRYSLER VALIANT. HILLMAN IMP and other new models being introduced. . This modem motor-vehicle assembly plant, situated just 13 minutes from the heart of Wellington, employs a staff of 700 people, and is part of the Todd Group of Companies which had its beginnings in Heriot, Otago, in 1888. Ideal working conditions are provided for the employees of this important industry. The plant is well-lit. centrally heated, clean and spacious. Hie model cafeteria serves hot lunches, and teas on overtime nights. A shop, open at meal times, offers a wide range of every-day requirements. Wages are high, and, with the production programme envisaged, plenty of overtime will be available.
