Record Price For A Goldie
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, September 11. The £ 650 paid in Auckland for a Goldie oil portrait, as reported in a Press Association message from Auckland, is not a record. Mr E. J, Crotty, of Wanganui, recalls that in 1957 Goldie’s “Memories” was bought for the Dunedin Art Gallery for something in excess of £9OO.
