N.Z. STAMPS FROM ST. MARGARET’S
The St. Margaret’s College Junior Red Cross has been thanked for a “magnificent” series of New Zealand stamps. The international committee of the Red Cross in Geneva, in a letter sent to the New’ Zealand Junior Red Cross director (Miss Janet Studholme), asked that the personal thanks of Mr Leopold Boissier, president of the international committee, be conveyed to the St. Margaret’s group. Junior Red Cross groups throughout the Dominion were sent printed cards which . they were invited to fill with stamps. The collections were subsequently sent to all Junior Red Cross Societies in the world, as a greeting from the New Zealand juniors to mark the centennial year of the society. Miss Studholme chose the St. Margaret’s College collection to send to the international committee as a gift.
